Word War Debate II
Dr. Heather Lynn goes head-to-head with James Williams at World War Debate II in a debate exploring one of the most controversial questions surrounding the phenomenon: Are aliens extraterrestrial beings—or could they be something else entirely?
Throughout history, encounters with strange and seemingly otherworldly beings have been interpreted in radically different ways. In the modern era, many have understood these experiences as encounters with extraterrestrial intelligence. Others have drawn parallels between reported encounters and much older traditions of demons, spirits, and other non-human entities.
Drawing on her background as a historian and researcher of ancient mysteries, consciousness, and the unexplained, Dr. Lynn examines the historical and cultural roots of these interpretations and asks whether the distinction between “alien” and “demon” is really as clear as we assume.
Are we dealing with visitors from somewhere beyond Earth—or are we encountering something that humanity has been describing in different language for thousands of years?
Hosted by Sam Tripoli, World War Debate II will take place at the historic Woolworth Theatre in Nashville, Tennessee.
